Police announce Lawyer Wanted In Ebonyi State For Attempted Murder

 


The Ebonyi State Police Command has named a fraud lawyer wanted for attempted murder.

At the Command Headquarters in Abakaliki, the state police commissioner, CP Philip Maku disclosed this to the pressmen when parading 23 suspects arrested for various crimes.


Police boss said one Barrister Kennedy Agbai, now at large, hired heavily armed men numbering around thirty from Amahiba in Isiukwuato State Local government area of Abia to storm Ndi Iheme village in Ivo State local government area to destroy homes and assets worth millions of naira.


He claimed that preliminary investigations revealed that there is an outstanding age-long land dispute between the villages of Ndi Obasi and Ndi Iheme, provided in favor of Ndi Obasi in court judgment, which prompted Ndi Iheme to appeal the judgment.


While the case is still in court, Barrister Kennedy Agbai took laws into his hands and hired disguised men to renovate his houses, paying N4,000 each to execute the act.


Meanwhile, attempts to arrest the aforementioned bar are in top gear. Kennedy Agbai who had fled the scene right after the incident.


However, they captured and paraded a group of alleged armed robbers who specialize in targeting stores, POS centers and churches.


CP Maku noted that the impact of community policing aided in the effective operations conducted, emphasizing that they are completely in collaboration with the public as they have mapped strategies to ensure the protection of life and assets during these ember months.


The products recovered are 3 single barrel guns made locally, one double barrel gun, five live cartridges and two extended cartridges, two machetes, one torchlight, four sledgehammers, one wooden stronger, one digger, a snuff box and a Tecno phone.
