Inspite of the suspension, Sam Daddy Anyanwu rips Imo PDP.

Following the decision of the party's national governance to assign Senator Sam Daddy Anyanwu, a member of the Edo Congress Committee, the Imo State Chapter of the People's Democratic Party, PDP is having a disquiet instant ahead of the upcoming party primaries for the governorship candidate. Just after 2019 governorship primaries he was one of the attendees, Sam Daddy Anyanwu who represented Owerri zone using PDP went to war with mainstream state party insiders in the state. 

The PDP 's national executive board may have not concurred with the penalties placed on Anyanwu as a result of the recent advancements by which he was ordained secretary of the party's party organizing committee for Edo state's Congress. During the ward, LLGA and state congresses early March this year she had also represented on the party's national congress committee. It should be remembered that during the 2019 election, Anyanwu was suspected of anti-party activities as well as of not showing any interest in party politics at the state level.

It was also believed that the large proportion of those who quit the party to APC recently following the judgment of the Supreme Court of January 14,2020 which fired the candidate for governorship of the PDP from Government House, Owerri were the majority of his allies who fuelled suspicion that he might have been behind the operation.  

PDP 's state governance was startled by the current appointment given to Anyanwu. The move is not in the best interest of the party in Imo State, according to sources close to some of the officials, as it is believed to be a subtle insult to their powers to regulate erring leaders on the home ground.

The appointment granted to Senator Anyanwu is sincerely disheartened by the state leadership as it is nothing but a spite on their faces to honor a member convicted of anti-party. A PDP leader in Imo State said that such an action has the ability to generate dereliction of duty in the local chapters by which the national acknowledges one being punished at home.
