Registration for N-Power Batch C starts June 26 at 11:45pm


The N-Power Batch C registration is scheduled to begin on Friday (June 26) at 11:45 pm, according to the official Twitter handle update of the program.

Earlier, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development announced that enrolment for a new batch of N-Power beneficiaries would begin effective June 26, 2020. According to a ministry statement, "the N-Power Program has so far enrolled 500,000 beneficiaries-200,000 from Batch A which began in September 2016 and 300,000 from Batch B which began in August 2018.

"The beneficiaries were expected to spend no less than 24 months on the program and were spread across the program-targeted key industries – agriculture, health , education, and tax. "The current Batches A and B beneficiaries are scheduled to transit the program by 31 July 2020, with plans already in place to transition them into entrepreneurship."

In 2016, President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated the N-power program under the National Social Investment Plan (NSIP) with a mandate to bring people out of poverty through capacity building, innovation and direct support. The initiative seeks to "contribute to creating a professional Nigerian workforce" for unemployed Nigerians between the ages of 18-35. Unemployed Nigerians with an N-Power secondary school leave certificate can apply for "N-Power Agro, N-Power Create, N-Power Creative and N-Power Tech,"

While N-Power Teach and N-Power Health are allowed to apply only to graduates.
N-Power has instructed the general public not to pay anyone to register on the N-Power platform irrespective of replacement websites and fake agents. N-Power also reiterated that the portal will open by 11:45 pm and that all "successful" pop-up registrations prior to 11:45 pm are invalid.
