Tinubu responds to rumored Aregbesola rift

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, has demolished the circulating rumor that a cold war is brewing between him and his right hand man, the interior minister Rauf Aregbesola. The rumor started after the state's Governor's Advisory Council announced a ban on political parties inside the state's APC, including Aregbosola's Mandate Party, which it claimed was one of the groups affected by the directives. But Tinubu revoked the speculation emphatically, and blamed the author of completely unfounded conjecture.

"There is no fight between them, whether cold or hot. It has never been and it never will be. Asiwaju believes in him and trusts in the chief of the APC, "a tweet on the Twitter handle of Tinubu said. "Our attention has been drawn to a story in an online newspaper alleging that a supposed cold war between Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the Minister of the Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, had worsened by the correct and candid resolution of the GAC. "It is a figment of the news organization 's imagination which has written the story. Asiwaju Tinubu shall remain the leader of Ogbeni Aregbesola. The former Governor of Osun State was unreservedly and completely dedicated to the Tinubu political 's democratic ideology.

The statement added that the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola did not wage war, cold or hot. "Our family remains strong politically. And we stay focused in our dedication to creating and maintaining an unified political party. "The statement stated that GAC 's resolution was to restate the frequently stated position that the only group we know is APC and not any of the factional groups. It was about renewing engagement with APC and its solidarity. "Ogbeni Aregbesola belongs firmly to the political fraternity. The location within the GAC does not imply any division within the party. The agreement is made and should not be misunderstood, "the statement added.
